Micron Plans Major Expansion In Virginia
Boise-based memory maker Micron Technology said this week that it is planning a major expansion in Virginia, where it plans to spend $3 billion on a new semiconductor plant. According to Micro, the investment in the expansion goes towards filling demand for its chips in automobiles. The expansion at its Manassas, Virginia site will add around 100,000 square feet to the plant.
