Alpine Metrics Takes On Big Data

Bozeman, Montana-based Alpine Metrics, a new startup focused on business intelligence, said it is looking to bring automated analytics and optimization to businesses with its products. The startup said it is headed by Erik Udstuen, who was most recently running General Electric's software division, and was co-founder and CEO of analytics firm Mountain Systems, which was acquired by GE in 2003. Alpine Metrics said its products apply its extensive experience with industrial process improvement to the sales and marketing realm.
