FreeWave Technologies Gets Award
Boulder-based FreeWave Technologies, the developer of spread spectrum radios used for high speed data transmission, reported this week that it has been awarded an American Technology Award (ATA) for outstanding achievement in the Smart Grid and Smart Instrument Category. The award goes to its FGR2-PE wireless data radio. The firm's radios are used for smart grid, electric power, and renewable energy applications, among other uses. FreeWave's equipment is typically used to provide high speed data links to remote sites and equipment, in areas which do not have other wireless or data connectivity. The award was given by the TechAmerica Foundation.
