Avnet Completes Nexicore Services Acquisition

Phoenix-based Avnet said this morning that it has completed its acquisition of hartford Computer Group, Inc. and subsidiary Nexicore Services. The electronics components distributor had announced the acquisition of Nexicore in December. Financial details of the buy have not been announced by the company, however, Avnet said that Nexicore had revenues of approximately $85M in 2011. The acquisition came out of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy sale in Chicago. Nexicore was a provider of repair and installation services for the consumer electronics and computer market, providing depot repair, onsite repair and installation services, and spare parts.
