Gnip Ties With StockTwits

Boulder-based Gnip, the provider of realtime, social media data for enterprise applications that is headed by Jud Valeski, said today that it has tied with StockTwits, the stock-focused micro messaging service. Gnip said it has launched Gnip MarketStream, a product specifically aimed at social media data for hedge funds and high frequncy traders. The new product allows financial industry clients to monitor social media streams such as Twitter and StockTwits to integrate that into their algorithms. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. Gnip is backed by The Foundry Group, SoftTech VC, and First Round Capital.
