Stirling Energy Systems Files For Bankruptcy, Says Report

Scottsdale, Arizona-based Stirling Energy Systems, a developer of a solar powered stirling engine used for utility scale energy generation, has filed for bankruptcy, according to a report Thursday. Renewable Energy World said that> Stirling filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy this week after failing to compete with photovoltaic alternatives to its technology.
