First Solar's Mike Ahearn Launches $300M Venture Capital Firm

Mike Ahearn, the co-founder and former CEO of Tempe, Arizona-based First Solar, has just announced the launch of a $300M, venture capital fund focused on the clean technology industry. According to True North Venture Partners, it will invest in companies in the energy, water, agriculture, and waste sectors. The firm said it will invest between $100,000 to $25 million in companies. Ahearn was CEO of First Solar until 2009. The new fund has offices in Phoenix and Chicago.
