Tempe, Arizona-based photovoltaic module maker First Solar said Thursday that it is planning to build a new, U.S. manufacturing center in Mesa, Arizona. According to First Solar, it will invest about $300M in the factory, creating around 600 jobs on four manufacturing lines. The company said the new factory will have a capacity to produce more than 250 megawatts of its advanced thin-film photovoltaic modules each year.
