First Solar Names New CEO

Tempe, Arizona-based First Solar, a developer of thin film photovoltaic modules, announced this morning that it has hired Robert J. Gillette as its new CEO. Gillette joins the firm from Honeywell Aerospace, where he was CEo and President. Gillette had been at Honeywell since 1996, and previously served at General Electric. Gillette replaces Mike Ahearn, with Ahearn serving as executive Chairman.
