Colorado State University Spins Off Veterinary Startup
A new startup, based on research for Colorado State University, has spun out to focus on veterinary products. According to CSU, the new firm VetDC, will work to develop and market new veterinary products based on work with the veterinarians at the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. CSU said the new firm will focus on cancer, as well as possible needs in opthalmology, infection disease, and other fields. The school said that VetDC has recently signed an agreement with Gilead Sciences to develop and commercialize a new cancer drug for dogs.
