University of Utah Ranks In Startup Spinoff List

The University of Utah reports today that it was recognized for ranking number one in a list of the top universities to spin out startups from faculty research. The U of U--which reported the ranking in December-- said the latest listing was publishing in Inc. Magazine. The school was No. 1 in the ranking compiled by the Association of University Technology Managers, beating out second ranked MIT. The University's technology spinout efforts are headed by Jack Brittain, who is Vice President of Technology Venture Development.
