ON Semiconductor Completes Buy of CMOS Sensor Business

Phoenix-based ON Semiconductor reported this morning that it has completed its acquisition of the CMOS Image Sensor business unit of Cypress Semiconductor. The deal was worth $31.4M in cash. ON Semiconductor said the buy would solidify its position as a worldwide image sensor supplier. The firm said the deal was made at a 1x multiple of annual sales for the division.
