Photobucket Names Munro CEO

Denver-based Photobucket, the now independent photo sharing site, said today that it has named Tom Munro as CEO of the firm. Munro has been heading up the firm as acting President and CFO since December 2009, when Photobucket was merged into Ontela. Munro was previously CFO of Vallent, and also served as CFO of Quotesmith.com and CFO of Donnelly Enterprise Solutions. Munro also served at R.R. Donnelley & Sons. Photobucket and Ontela merged in December of 2009, after News Corp. decided to divest the photo sharing site. Ontela had been backed by Eastven Venture Partners, Hunt Ventures, Oak Investment Partners, Steamboat Ventures, and Voyager Capital, and Steamboat VC Beau Laskey current is chairman of Photobucket's board.
