Photobucket Powers Twitter Photo Service

Denver-based Photobucket, the online photo sharing site headed by Tom Munro, is powering a new photo upload service from micro messaging service Twitter, Twitter said today. Twitter said its new service will allow users to load photos and attach them to tweets from the service, and will be using Photobucket as the hosting for those photos. Financial details of the deal between Twitter and Photobucket were not disclosed. The deal with Twitter is a major coup for Photobucket, which has been revamping its service since being divested from News Corp. in December of 2009.
