Grow Utah Names VehiCALL Winner
Grow Utah Ventures said today that it has named VehiCALL, a maker of an aftermarket accessory that allows consumers to unlock or lock their car using their phone as the winner of its General Technology "Concept to Company" Contest. Grow Utah, which has been running a series of competitions to spur entrepreneurship in Utah, said VehiCall will get a combination of $35,000 in cash and consulting services as the winner. Runners up in the competition were 3T Technology, developer of a laser system for tracing blueprints onto the ground, and an invention from Doug Catton, who designed a walker for the elderly. 3T and Catton receive $17,000 in cash and servies. Grow Utah said it had over 70 entries in its latest contest.
