Grow Utah Names Pixelture Winner Of Latest Contest

Grow Utah Ventures named Pixelture, a developer of a product to connect notebooks and smart phones to connect wirelessly to displays, as winner of the group's latest "Concept to Company" contest. Grow Utah said it awarded $35,000 in cash and consulting services to Pixelture, as its grand winner, and also awarded $15,00 in cash and consulting to runners up Holorad and Ripplewake. Holorad is developing a process for creating interactive, 3-D holographic imagery, and Ripplewake is developing a method of splitting a single audio source containing multiple sources into new corresponding single tracks. The companies were all entrants into Grow Utah's Digital Media "Concept to Company" contest. Grow Utah has been running a series of themed "Concept to Company" contests throughout the state to spur startups and innovation.
