TheraDoc Acquired By Illinois Firm
Salt Lake City-based TheraDoc, a developer of hospital informatics systems used for infection control, has been acquired by Illinois-based Hospira, Hospira said Wednesday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Hospira said it has acquired TheraDoc's headquarters in Salt Lake City, and that TheraDoc's 85 employees are now part of Hospira. TheraDoc develops clinical information systems which are used for preventing and tracking hospital acquired infections. The firm's customer included Johns Hopkins, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, National Institutes of Health Clinical Centers, Yale-New Haven Hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical System and others.
