Secure64 Wins Department of the Interior
Denver-based Secure64, a developer of DNS appliances, said this morning that the firm has added the U.S. Department of the Interior as a customer. The firm said that the Department of the Interior has purchased the firm's Secure64 DNS Signer product. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Secure64 explained the government agency is using the firm's product to meet a United States Office of Management and Budget mandate to implement DNSSEC by December of this year. DNSSEC is an extension of the system used to map domain names to IP addresses, meant to prevent spoofing and other security issues with the DNS protocol.
