Solid State Networks Rolls Games Publishing Software
Tempe, Arizona-basd Solid State Networks said Tuesday that the firm has launched a new game publishing suite, called SOLID PUBLISHER, which it said will allow game developers and publishers to minimize game deliver and setup time. The new software uses Solid State Networks' content delivery services to install computer games. According to Solid State Networks, the new offering evolved from its original game update software, CURRENT. Cost of the new software was not released. Solid State Networks operates a peer-to-peer network for content distribution, and is being used for patch upgrading and delivery of games; the firm uses a version of the popular BitTorrent P2P protocol.
