Ascent Solar Gets Design Win

Thornton, Colorado-based Ascent Solar Technologies, a developer of flexible, thin-film photovoltaic modules, disclosed today that the firm has scored a design win with hybrid, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) maker Bye Aerospace. According to Ascent, its thin-film PV technology will be used to develop solar energy capability on the aircraft. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Bye Aerospace is based near Denver, and is developing its vehicles for both the military and civil applications.
