JDA Software Signs Regional Grocer

JDA Software Group Inc., a publisher of supply chain and revenue management applications, revealed Monday that a Texas-based grocer has adopted JDA's Workforce Management solution in hopes of slashing its labor costs. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. JDA identified its new client as Market Basket Stores Inc., which operates 30 full-service grocery stores throughout southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana. A Market Basket spokesperson said his company chose JDA's Workforce Management because they believed it would provide the highest return on investment. The spokesperson added that Market Basket has already begun implementing the solution at a pilot store and hopes to go live by February. JDA Software is headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz.
