JDA Software Signs Canadian Grocer

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based JDA Software Group Inc. revealed Wednesday that Canada's largest food distributor, Loblaw Companies Ltd., has licensed JDA's supply chain platform. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. JDA said its new client employs some 140,000 people and boasts approximately $24.2 billion in annual revenue. Loblaw, JDA explained, is implementing JDA's Supply & Demand Optimization software in hopes of realizing process improvement at its 1,000-plus corporate and franchised stores. JDA said Loblaw will also leverage JDA's Transportation & Logistics Management solutions to better manage its supplier and carrier relationships.
