Avnet Memec Signs Luminary Micro

Phoenix-based Avnet Memec, the specialty semiconductor division of Avnet, said Thursday that it has signed a distribution franchise agreement with microcontroller provider Luminary Micro. Avnet said Luminary Micro's 32-bit, Stellaris ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontrollers are available from the firm in North America and some parts of Europe. The microcontroller is used for the energy, security, and connectivity market. Financial details of the distribution deal were not disclosed.
