Avnet Concludes Azzurri Technology Acquisition

Electronics parts distributor Avnet Inc. announced Tuesday that its acquisition of U.K.-based semiconductor supplier Azzurri Technology Ltd. has closed. Terms of the deal, which was first reported Jan. 10, were not disclosed. Headquartered in Wokingham, England, Azzurri is a design-in distributor of semiconductors and embedded systems products to original equipment manufacturers in the European electronics market. The company, which employs some 80 people, boasts an annual revenue of about $100 million. Avnet, which is based in Phoenix, said Azzurri will be integrated into the EMEA group of its Avnet Electronics Marketing arm, and primarily within its Avnet Memec division.
