Quest Upgrades Vintela Software

Quest Software has upgraded the firm's Active Directory software, saying Thursday that it has made the latest version of its Active Directory product generally available. The product is used for single-sign on and authentication using existing Microsoft Active Directory-based enterprises. Version 3.1 of Quest's Vintela Authenciation Services allows Unix and Linux systems to interoperate with Microsoft based IT shops. Quest acquired Utah-based Vintela in June of last year.
