Displaytech Ships Component For Holographic Storage

Longmont, Colorado-based Displaytech said today that it has made a new component for holographic data storage available, its Spatial Light Modulator (SLM). The company said that Longmont-based InPhase is using the firm's devices into a holographic data storage device under development. Holographic storage is an emerging technology which uses optical technology to store extremely dense amounts of data. Displaytech is a provider of image display products and microdisplays.
