Antares conTech, UMD Advanced Test Merge
Gilbert, Arizona-based Antares conTech, a provider of sockets and connectors for the semiconductor industry, and Vancouver, Washington-based UMD Advanced Test Technologies, a semiconductor test equipment provider, have merged. The two companies said today that they will combine to provide engineering services and products for the semiconductor test market. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The new company will be led by Matt Bergeron, current CEO of UMD, and will be majority owned by Investcorp Technology Ventures. Investcorp purchased Antares conTech, which was the former semiconductor package testing business of Kulick & Soffa, in April.
