Overstock Shuffles Board

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Overstock.com has shuffled its board, saying yesterday that Patrick Byrne is now Chairman of the board, and appointing Jason Lindsey as President and COO. Byrne, CEO of Overstock, replaces his father, Jack Byrne, who has been appointed Deputy Chairman. Jack Byrne has served as chairman of the firm since August 2005. Jack Byrne had disclosed in an interview with the Wall Street Journal in March that he was considering stepping down from the Chairman position over disagreements, over Patrick Byrne's handling of short sellers of the firm's stock.
