SaltStack Expands Board

Salt Lake City-based SaltStack, a developer of automation software for IT and security teams, said on Wednesday that it has named Pluralsight CMO Heather Zynczak to its board. Zynczak previously served at such companies at SAP and Oracle. SaltStack, led by Marc Chenn, is backed by Mercato Partners, Peak Ventures, Epic Ventures and Deep Fork Capital. SaltStack raised $15.5M in February for its software, which is used by large business with IT automation. The company's other board members include SaltStack CEO Marc Chenn; SaltStack CTO Thomas Hatch; and Mercato Partners' Ryan Sanders.
