DigiCert Finds Growth Investment
Lehi, Utah-based DigiCert, which provides TLS/SSL, PKI, and other certificates used for encryption and identification, has scored a growth investment, from private equity investor Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. and TA Associates. Size of the investment was not announced. According to DigiCert, the new funding will go towards growth and innovation. DigiCert said that Clearlake and TA will become equal partners in DigiCert, with Jason Werlin of TA Associates becoming Chairman of the company, and Hythem El-Nazer, also at TA, joining the board of directors. DigiCert will continue to be led by CEO John Merrill.
