Tendril Buys EEme
Boulder-based Tendril, which develops home energy management software, said this mroning that it has acquired EEme, a provider of energy analytics technology. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to Tendril, the move will help deepen its analytics capabilities. Tendril explained that EEme provides "non-intrusive load monitoring" technology which helps glean appliance-level energy usage, which it says can help people reduce their home energy consumption. The company says EEme's technology is able to identify new owners of electric vehicles (EVs), identify HVAC systems which are becoming less efficient over time, identify loads such as pool pumps, and more. The acquisition comes only a month after Tendril was acquired by private equity investor Rubicon Technology Partners.
