Denver-based BridgeSat, which is developing a network of satellite ground communications stations, intended to communicate using optical communications with low-earth-orbit (LEO) and geostationary satellites, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles and high altitude aircraft, has raised $10M in a funding round. The funding round included an investment from Boeing HorizonX Ventures. The Series B funding for BridgeSat also included Allied Minds. BridgeSat was founded in 2015. According to Boeing, the investment also comes alongside an effort to connect Boeing experts, testing labs and other valuable resources to accelerate BridgeSat's deployment efforts.
