LowestMed Acquired By RetailMeNot
Draper, Utah-based LowestMed, which had offered up comparison shopping for prescription drugs, has been acquired by online coupons and discounts site RetailMeNot. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. LowestMed, which has been in the Silicon Slopes since it was founded in 2009 by CEO Brad Bangerter, had offered up a way for consumers to shop for the best prices on their prescriptions. The company's offerings have become a new service from RetailMeNot, called RetailMeNot Rx Saver. RetailMeNot did not say what will become of LowestMed's operations in Draper.
