Owlet Baby Care, which develops connected socks which allow parents to monitor the vitals and health of their babies using their smartphone, has raised $24M in a series B funding, the company announced this morning. A portio of that funding
had been disclosed last week in a regulatory filing. According to Owlet, the round was led by Trilogy Equity Partners, and also included existing investors, including Eclipse Ventures, Broadway Angels, and Enfield Ventures, plus Pelion Venture Partners. Trilogy's Amy McCullough joins Owlet's board as a result of the funding. Owlet said it will use the new funds for international growth and product expansion. Owlet's flagship product is the Smart Sock, which uses pulse oximetry to track a baby's heart rate and oxygen levels while sleeping.
