Owlet Debuts Baby Monitoring App On Android
Provo, Utah-based connected device maker Owlet said this morning that it has released a version of its smart baby monitor for Android. Owlet, which lets concerned parents view live vitals of their baby remotely from their iPhone or Android smartphones, had previously only provided an iOS version of its smartphone app. Owlet is led by Kurt Workman. The company's smart baby monitor provides vitals using pulse oximetry, and specifically monitor's a baby's heart rate and oxygen levels. The company claims that so far, it has heard from two dozen families who were alerted by Owlet when their baby stopped breathing. The gadget costs $249.99, and the apps are free.
