Blackmore Sensors and Analytics Adds $18M
Bozeman, Montana-based Blackmore Sensors and Analytics, which is developing LIDAR systems for the automotive industry, has raised $18M in a Series B funding. Blackmore said the funding was led by BMW i Ventures, and also included Toyota AI Ventures, Millennium Technology Value Partners and Next Frontier Capital. Blackmore's frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) is being applied to autonomous, self-driving vehicle systems, as well as for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
