Blackmore Sensors and Analytics, the venture backed startup which is developing LIDAR systems used in autonomous, self-driving vehicles, has named a new Chief Operating Officer. According to the firm, it has named Craig Cocchi, former COO of Oclaro, as its new COO. Blackmore Sensors said Cocchi was previously responsible for $600M in annual revenues and oversaw approximately 1400 employees. Cocchi also previously served at Fabricnet as EVP of Operations, and also had been at Read-Rite Corporation. Blackmore Sensors and Analytics is backed by BMW i Ventures and Toyota AI Ventures.
