United Launch Services, which provides space launch services to the U.S. Government, has won a $354.8M contract from the U.S. Department of Defense, to delivery two satellites into orbit for the United States Air Force. According to a contract release from the DoD, ULA will deliver the AFSPC-8 and AFSPC-12 satellites to orbit, providing launch vehicle production, mission integration/launch operations/spaceflight worthiness, mission unique activities, and providing "mission unique options" for the two payloads. The DoD said the work on the satellite launches will be performed in Colorado, Alabama, and Cape Canaveral, Florida.
