Convergint Technologies, the private equity-backed provider of integration services for the electronic security, building automation, fire safety, and related areas, has gobbled up yet another company, saying today that it has acquired
SigNet Technologies. Financial details of the buy were not announced. SigNet is based in Beltsville, Maryland, and has more than 90 employees. The company also has an office in Cary, NC. Convergint--backed by KRG Capital Partners in Denver--has been rapidly swallowing up companies the security and integration space; KRG and Convergint say the acquisition is the 16th acquisition for Convergint since KRG made its first investment in August of 2012.
