Zayo Ramps Renewable Energy Efforts

said today that it has purchased 86 million kilowatt hours of renewable energy certificates, to power its zColo data centers in Illinois, Texas, and New Jersey. According to Zayo, the purchase is part of a new emphasis on sustainability, and support of green, rewewable energy alternatives. Zayo did not say how much it is spending on the energy purchase. The company said it has become an EPA Green Power Partner as a result of the purchase.
