CasaTunes has jumped on the Amazon Alexa bandwagon, saying this morning that it has connected it whole home music systems to Amazon's popular, voice-connected devices. According to CasaTunes, it has launched a new skill for Amazon Echo, Tap, and Dot, which allows users to control its whole home music systems using their voice. CasaTunes said the support is available on both CasaTunes and the DIY musicBox 6 music servers. Controlling music is one of the more popular skills for Amazon's voice controlled devices, and it makes sense that CasaTunes would make sure its own whole home music systems integrate into Amazon's systems. Amazon, for the most part, seems to be keen on connecting its technology into many, third party devices and services, rather than just attempting to replicate and replace those devices.
