Edgenuity Buys Compass Learning
Scottsdale, Arizona-based Edgenuity, a developer of online learning software for the K-12 market, has acquired fellow education software developer Compass Learning, according to the firms. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Compass Learning was based in Austin, Texas. Edgenuity is backed by private equity investor Weld North Holdings, which said the buy will help it bolster its position as one of the largest providers of digital curriculum to K-12 schools.
