Officials in Bozeman, Montana, are actively courting
Google and
Facebook, trying to convince the Silicon Valley giants to potentially build a data center in southwest Montana,
according to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. It's unclear if either of the companies are seriously considering the offer. Data centers--the giant facilities which house the computer systems used to run now ubiquitous online services--are a big business across the Intermountain west, with many major data centers, particularly in Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.
