Verisma Systems, a developer of cloud-based, healthcare information systems software, has raised $14.5M in a funding round. The funding came from Blue Heron Capital, NewSpring Capital, as well as angels Jim Crook (former President of IDX Systems Corporation), and Jim Riley (former President of Capario), according to the company's investors. The company said the funds go towards sales and marketing, technology and management. Jim Riley of Blue Heron Capital joins the company's board as part of the funding.
