Travelers flying on
Southwest Airlines can take advantage of free, live television on Wi-Fi enabled flights, thanks to a deal today announced by the airline with Englewood, Colorado-based
Dish. According to the two, beginning today, Southwest customers who are using INternet-ready personal devices such as the iPad and iPod touch will get access to live TV and 75-on-demand shows on Southwest's Wi-Fi enabled aircraft. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The two said the live TV and on-demand connectivity comes via Row 44, Southwest's satellite inflight entertainment and connectivity partner.
