MapQuest Powers Southwest Airlines Tracker
Denver-based MapQuest is powering a new flight tracking app for Southwest Airlines, the firm said last week, which is being included in the airlines' Wi-Fi enabled flights. MapQuest said it built and powered a flight tracker which allows people to see current location, ground speed, and altitude for Wi-Fi enabled Southwest Airlines flights, via the Southwest Airlines In-Flight Broadband Entertainment Portal. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
