MapQuest Pushes Online Travel Booking
Denver-based MapQuest is not just about maps. At least, that's what the service is trying to communicate with its latest promotion. MapQuest siad this week that it is giving away one trip per day for the next 30 days, just for booking travel on the website. MapQuest, in addition to allowing users to map out their travel, allows users to book hotels, flights, and rental cars from the site. MapQuest said that--like other travel sites--it now allows user sto search for, compare, and book hotel rooms, find rental cars, and purchase airline tickets from almost all major airlines.
