Colorado State University Creates $1.5M Venture Capital Fund
Colorado State University is getting into the venture capital investment game, saying this week that it has created a new, $1.5M venture capital fund specifically geared to support innovation and promote collaboration in higher education. The Fort Collins, Colorado school said the funding will go towards incubating and nurturing ideas to help build a "more durable and entrepreneurial" university system. The school said the fund is open to students, staff, faculty of the CSU System, and that proposals must be related to improving higher education. CSU campus photo courtesy Paul L. dineen, via Flickr.
