Boulder Ionics, which is developing energy storage products, has raised $4.3M in a Series A round, the firm said this morning. The company said the round was led by Pangaea Ventures, and also included 9th Street Investments, CalCEF Clean Energy Angel Fund, JSR Corporation, and Protonic Capital. Boulder Iinics is developing ionic liquid based electrolytes aimed at use in ultracapacitors, lithium-ion batteries and next generation metal-air batteries. The company is led by Dr. Jerry Martin.
