TruTouch Technologies, a developer of non-invaisve, biometric systems used for detecting intoxication, has raised $3M in a Series B funding, the firm announced Tuesday. The firm said the Series B round was led by iTulip Community, and also included Launchpad Venture Group, Verge Fund, and Jerome Capital. The company said the funding will go to build its sales revenues. TruTouch develops a biometric reader which both measures alcohol levels in a person's bloodstream, as well as identifies the user via biometrics. The firm is looking to apply its technology to employee testing and screening, law enforcement, medical diagnostics, and more. The firm is led by Dr. Richard D. Gill.
